About the TAM Teacher
Amy Hamilton
TAM (grades 10-12)
Ms. Amy Hamilton has been working at Laurel High School teaching the Teacher Academy of Maryland for going on six consecutive years.
She teaches Human Growth and Development, Teaching as a Profession, Foundations of Curriculum and Instruction/Education Academy Internship. She also teaches a freshman introductory course, Foundations of Education and the graduation requirement, Financial Literacy for Teens.
Amy has her Bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Studies from West Virginia University and her Master's degree in Administration of Human Services from Wilmington University. She successfully completed her TAM Certification from Towson University.
When she is not having fun teaching and learning from her students, she enjoys staying active, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her three dogs, Ralphie, Finley, and Henry.
