What is TAM?
The Teacher Academy of Maryland is a Career and College Readiness program for high school students (grades 10 - 12) who have the desire to one day work with children in a variety of different fields.
Students begin their journey in the TAM Program their sophomore year of high school when they enroll in the course, Human Growth in Development. Following their sophomore year, students take Teaching as a Profession during their junior year and Foundations of Curriculum and Instruction as well as the TAM Internship their senior year. Upon successful completion of this program, students qualify for not only college credit to some schools, but also can apply for a scholarship.
